I love collecting vintage haberdashery. There is something special about old buttons, vintage threads on wooden spools, vintage notions, old lace and trims. They always remind me of my childhood playing with my Nan’s button tin and sewing box. I loved making dolls clothes and other crafty pursuits during my childhood so it is no surprise that I still enjoy making things. I often share photos of my vintage haberdashery over on Instagram . I collect it from sellers on eBay, Etsy, flea markets, thrift shops, etc. A good portion of my collection comes from my Mum and Nan’s sewing collection. Welcome to the start of the Tilda Old Rose Showcase. Over the next couple of weeks, designers will be sharing projects made with this sweet range. Soft vintage roses and romantic florals in beautiful shades of violet, periwinkle, jade green, deep rose, and cream. Such a pretty collection that will be available October 1.  I have made a few projects with this gorgeous range – first up is a new sewing tutorial for Pyramid Weights. I also have a new pattern which will be released very soon (stay tuned!) These little Pyramid Weights can be used to keep your book open or to hold your pattern pieces in place. Alternatively, fill with dried lavender and use them as a scented sachet in your wardrobe or linen drawer to keep everything smelling fresh.
