Zakka Scissor Keeper

I am really excited to show you my newest pdf sewing pattern – the Zakka Scissor Keeper. I love combining my favourite “scraps” into a colour coordinated fabric panel. The colourful patchwork looks great with the natural linen. I even delved into my vintage button collection to select the perfect button for each Zakka Scissor Keeper.

Earlier this year, I altered my scrap sorting system. I now have small tubs where I sort my scraps by colour. It makes projects like the Zakka Scissor Keeper easy to construct and it is always fun to sort through little scraps that remind you of previous projects.

The Zakka Scissor Keeper is available in two sizes to suit a range of different sized scissors. I used a variety of small scale retro prints in yellow, red, blue and green for my scissor keepers. They are a great way to protect your scissors, particularly when you are taking them to sewing retreat or lesson. They can be used to store your rotary cutter or other sewing tools.

You can find the Zakka Scissor Keeper pdf Sewing Pattern in our Etsy store. This is a beginner friendly pattern and is a 17 page ePattern with plenty of photos, hints and tips to guide you through the project. All of my patterns include fullsized templates available in both letter and A4 sized format to make it easy for you to print at home.

If you make one, please share on instagram using the hashtag #zakkascissorkeeper or #aspoonfulofsugardesigns . I love seeing what you make using my patterns.
