Mini Toy Basket

When you have little ones, you can never have too many storage containers to keep toys and supplies organised. I used my Mini Fabric Basket pdf sewing pattern to make a mini toy basket. It is perfectly sized to hold Lego’s and other small toys to keep everything neat and tidy.

Sewing for kids is always fun as it gives you an opportunity to use some bright, cheery fabric. This fabric features little houses in bright primary colours. I purchased this in Japan around 10 years ago. It is home decor weight when works well for these little mini fabric baskets.

I teamed the main print with gingham and polka dots – in red and white of course! This is a quick project and have be easily made in around an hour. If you are a beginner sewist, it is a good project to practice sewing curves.

Be warned – you won’t be able to stop at one. Pretty soon you will find these baskets popping up all over your home. They are so handy to store all manner of small items.
