Daydream Projects
Have you seen the newly released fabric range, Daydream? It is one of the sweetest fabrics ranges I have seen. The gelati colours and whimsical designs that depict the joy of childhood games are perfect for so many projects. Designed by Patty Basemi for Art Gallery Fabrics, the collection of 12 pretty fabrics all feature different designs but work so well together.
First up I made a Dresden Placemat. The pretty patchwork petals showcase most of the fabrics it the range. The Wish Jar print is my favourite and Playing Dress Up is a close second.
The completed Dresden Placemat is perfect to use as a placemat or mug rug for a special afternoon tea. You can find the pdf Pattern for the Dresden Placemat in our Etsy store.
Next I made a Flower Power Pouch using the Gentle Petals print for the petals and the Flutterby Flowers print for the base.
This pretty drawstring pouch is perfect for storing little treasures or to use as a lunch bag. You can find the Flower Power Pouch PDF Sewing Pattern in our Etsy store.
Flower Power Pouch is such a sweet design for young children.
Lastly, I made a Mini Fabric Basket using the Blooming Icecream print. Perfect to hold small items in a child’s room such as small toys, hair accessories, and more!
You can find the pattern for the Mini Fabric Basket in our Etsy store.
Sewing for children is always so rewarding – they love that you invested time in making something special just for them. Using gorgeous fabrics that appeal to children will ensure your project is a winner!
Disclaimer: Thanks to Patty Basemi and Art Gallery Fabrics for providing the Daydream fabric used in these projects.
