When you have little ones, you can never have too many storage containers to keep toys and supplies organised. I used my Mini Fabric Basket pdf sewing pattern to make a mini toy basket. It is perfectly sized to hold Lego’s and other small toys to keep everything neat and tidy. Sewing for kids is always fun as it gives you an opportunity to use some bright, cheery fabric. This fabric features little houses in bright primary colours. I purchased this in Japan around 10 years ago. It is home decor weight when works well for these little mini fabric baskets. They are perfectly sized to hold a few pocket tissues in one pocket, and the other pocket can be used to hold any number of essentials such as band aids, paracetamol, disposable gloves, disposable face mask – whatever you need to have on hand when you are out and about. Tilda Maple Farm and Tilda Tiny Farm are the newest fabric ranges from Tilda. I was fortunate to receive a pre-release bundle from Two Green Zebras and have made 4 projects featuring these sweet fabrics, which I will be sharing over the new couple of weeks. As soon as I saw the Tiny Farm range, I knew it would be perfect for a placemat and coaster set . Tiny Farm features farm animals, gardening tools, farmhouses, and florals in pretty, muted shades of aqua, blue, pink, grey, orange, lavender, brown, and green. Tiny Farm fabric would look great in projects for a nursery or young child’s room. Using my Easy Hexagon Trivet and Coaster PDF Sewing Pattern , I constructed a Placemat and 3 coasters. This pattern is beginner friendly and is easily made in under an hour.
